Exclusion Lists help you exclude leads/companies from Smart Lists. While adding leads/companies to a Smart List from their Insights page, you can apply an Exclusion List and keep the leads/companies you don't want to see out of the picture.

Creating Exclusion Lists

Creating an Exclusion List is easy, and you can exclude up to 5 Million records at once. Let’s create an Exclusion List and add some records to it. 

  1. Click on the Lists tab on your Slintel dashboard. Next, click on Exclusions Lists.

 

  1. Click on “Create a List”


  1. Give this list a name, and choose a List Type from the drop-down; let’s select Lead for now. Click Create


  1. Before you upload the CSV, do read Things to keep in mind before uploading a list. Next, click Upload CSV


Note: To understand the kind of data that must be included in the CSV, click on Sample CSV. The Leads or Companies Exclusion List should have the following details: 

  1. Leads: Slintel Lead ID and/or Email 

  2. Companies: Slintel Company ID and/or Company Domain

6. Once the list has been uploaded, click Next.


7. Make sure the Slintel Field is correctly mapped to the CSV Field. Click Done.

8. Once successfully uploaded, the Status should say Ready to use. You can download this to view the list you just uploaded

 

And you’re done! You’ve successfully created your first Exclusion List

Using Lead Exclusion List

  1. Go to the Discovery tab on the dashboard and then toggle the Leads tab. 

 

  1. Once you’re in the Leads tab, select your filters, and then your preferred Leads. Then, click on Add to list.

 

  1. Select a smart list from the drop-down you’d like to add these leads to. You can even create a Smart List by typing in a new name, and clicking on “Create a new List”.

 


  1. Click on the check box that says Select Exclusion List and add an already created Exclusion List. Once done, click Add.

 

And you’re done! If you click on the Lists tab, you now have your Smart List and the leads in the Exclusion List have been excluded. 

Using Company Exclusion List

  1. Click on the Discover tab on your navigation bar. Once here, click on Companies to toggle the tab to Companies. 

 

 

 

  1. Once you’re in the Company tab, select your filters, and then your preferred Companies. Then, click on Add to list.

 

 

 

  1. Select a smart list from the drop down you’d like to add these Companies to.

 

  1. Click on the check box that says Select Exclusion List and add an Exclusion List. Next, click Add.

 

And you’re done! If you click on the Lists tab, you now have your Smart List and the companies in the Exclusion List have been excluded.
