Setting up your Slintel account with Pipedrive enables you to quickly send any contacts and/or Companies directly from your Slintel database to Pipedrive. 

 

This article will help you integrate your account and also answer common questions related to Pipedrive Integration. 

Step 1: Authentication

Setting up your Slintel account for integration is quite effortless. The first step is to authorize Slintel to use your Pipedrive account. Below are the steps you should follow:

  1. Log in to your Slintel account.

  2. Clicking on your Profile will open up a menu, click on Settings.

  1. You’ll see three tabs here: AccountIntegration and History. Click on Integration.Click on the Integrate button next to Pipedrive. This will route you to the integration page for Pipedrive.

  1. To start integration and field mapping with Pipedrive, you will need to provide an API key from your Pipedrive account. To get the API key from Pipedrive, login your Pipedrive account. Once there, Click on your Profile, and then Personal Preferences.

  1. Here, click on Personal Preferences, and then go to the API tab. You will see your personal API token here. Copy the token. 

  1. Once copied, go back to Slintel’s platform, and paste the same API token in the box provided in the top right corner, and click on Connect. 

  1. And you’re done! Once connected, you’ll be able to see your Pipedrive account details and date of integration along with the last updated date. You will also be able to see tabs for mapping fields for People and Organizations

 

Step 2: Field Mapping

Once you have completed the above-mentioned steps you can start mapping your Pipedrive fields to Slintel fields. 

 

Once successfully connected, You will see two tabs: 

  • People tab is for mapping leads

  • Organizations tab is for mapping companies

 

Let’s see how you can map your fields. 

Mapping Fields For People

  1. Click on the People tab. The name  field is mandatory, but all other fields are optional. 

  1. Not all fields that you see on the Slintel platform are present on Pipedrive. Only three default fields already exist on Pipedrive: Name, Email and Phone number. 

 

Other than these three fields, you will have to create fields on Pipedrive for you to map those details from Slintel’s platform to Pipedrive. [Note: The fields you currently see here on the drop down menu have already been created manually on Pipedrive.] 

 

  1. To create corresponding fields on Pipedrive for mapping People data, go to your Pipedrive account. Click on Settings->Company->Data Fields

  1. Here, you will be able to customize data fields for Person (People) and Organizations. Click on the Person tab, and then click on “Add custom fields”.

  1. To create a new field, click on Add custom fields, and select Person from the drop down menu. You’ll be able to see a pop-up for Add person field.

 

 

  1. For example, let us create a field for Lead Division, a field that exists on Slintel but not on Pipedrive. Enter Field Name as Lead Division, and Field type as Text. Under Field Properties, you can select where you want to view this field on your Pipedrive account. Once done, click on Save. Scroll down, and you’ll be able to see that a new field has been created for Lead Division.

 

  1. Go back to your Slintel account, and you’ll be able to map the Lead Division field to the field you just created on Pipedrive. This process is instantaneous, and you don’t have to wait for the newly created fields to show up. You can map as many fields as you want. 

 

Mapping Fields For Organizations

  1. Click on the Organization tab. The Company name  field is mandatory, but all other fields are optional. 

  1. Not all fields that you see on the Slintel platform are present on Pipedrive. Only three default fields already exist on Pipedrive: Name, Company Website and Company Phone number. 

 

Other than these three fields, you will have to create fields on Pipedrive for you to map those details from Slintel’s platform to Pipedrive. [Note: The fields you currently see here on the drop down menu have already been created manually on Pipedrive.] 

 

  1. To create corresponding fields on Pipedrive for mapping People data, go to your Pipedrive account. Click on Settings->Company->Data Fields

  1. Here, you will be able to customize data fields for Organization (Companies). Click on the Organization tab, and then click on “Add custom fields”.

  1. To create a new field, click on Add custom fields, and select Organization from the drop down menu. You’ll be able to see a pop-up for the Add organization field.

 

  1. For example, let us create a field for a field that exists on Slintel but not on Pipedrive. Enter Field Name as Lead Division, and Field type as Text. Under Field Properties, you can select where you want to view this field on your Pipedrive account. Once done, click on Save. Scroll down, and you’ll be able to see that a new field has been created for Lead Division.

 

  1. Go back to your Slintel account, and you’ll be able to map the Lead Division field to the field you just created on Pipedrive. This process is instantaneous, and you don’t have to wait for the newly created fields to show up. You can map as many fields as you want. 

Mapping Keywords and Technologies

Keywords

  1. If you scroll down, you will be able to see the Keywords field with an edit button on the side. Click on Edit.

  1. You can choose to map all keywords, or choose specific keywords that you want to map. 


  1. To map specific keywords, click on the Select Keywords button, and type the keyword you want to map in the bar shown. For example, you want the keyword “Applicant Tracking System” to be mapped to People. Type “Applicant Tracking System” in the bar, and click Enter. You can even select the category, and only those people will be mapped to the keyword. Click on Save and Apply once done. 

  1. For these to appear on your Pipedrive, follow the steps mentioned under “Mapping fields for People” section to create a custom field on Pipedrive, and then select Keyword from the drop down menu. 

Technologies

  1. If you scroll down, you will be able to see the Technologies field with an edit button on the side. Click on Edit.

  1. You can choose to map all technologies, or choose specific keywords that you want to map. 


  1. To map specific technologies, click on the Select Technologies button, and type the technology you want to map in the bar shown. For example, you want the technology “Applicant Tracking System” to be mapped to People. Type “Applicant Tracking System” in the bar, and click Enter. You can even select the category, and only those people will be mapped to the technology. Here, we selected the category “HRMS”. Click on Save and Apply once done. 

  1. For these to appear on your Pipedrive, follow the steps mentioned under “Mapping fields for People” section to create a custom field for Technology on Pipedrive, and then select Technology from the drop down menu. 

 

Adding And Deleting More Fields

Adding

  1. To add more fields, scroll down to the end, and click on Add More Fields. 

  1. You can add as many fields as you want, for any of the Slintel Fields.

 Deleting

  1. To delete fields, just click on the small delete icon next to the new fields created. 


Save And Apply 

Once you are done with selecting and editing all the fields for People/Organizations as per your requirement, just click on the Save and Apply button on the top right corner. 


Note: You will have to do this separately for People and Organization. 

People

  1. Once you are done selecting all your fields for People, click on Save and Apply. 

  1. You will see a message, “Mapping successfully pushed”, and the Save and Apply button will be greyed out. You’re done mapping all your People fields from Slintel to Pipedrive!

Organizations

  1. Once you are done selecting all your fields for Organizations, click on Save and Apply. 

  1. You will see a message, “Mapping successfully pushed”, and the Save and Apply button will be greyed out. You’re done mapping all your Organization fields from Slintel to Pipedrive!


Step 3: People/Organization Export and Account Push

NOTE: YOU CAN ONLY EXPORT 1000 LEADS IN BULK EXPORT FOR PIPEDRIVE


For People Bulk Export and Multi-Select

  1. Go to Leads tab

  2. Apply the filter(s) you need.

  3. For Multi-select, just select a lead  by checking the box next to leads instead of selecting all. 

  4. Click on the Export button.

  1. Click on the Pipedrive  button and click on Confirm

  1. For Bulk, select the filter you need and click on the Export  button. Keep in mind only 1000 leads can be exported at once for Pipedrive export. 

  1. Once you have successfully confirmed, you will get a notification in the Cloud Icon present in the top navbar which says “In progress” 

  1. Once the export is over you will be able to see the status of your export (Success/Fail) in the Settings > History. Here, select "Pipedrive" from the 1st drop-down, and the duration from the second [shown below]. 

 

For Account Push

  1. Go to Company tab

  2. Apply the filter(s) you need & select the companies 

  3. Click on the Export button

  4. Click on the Pipedrive button and click on Confirm. For bulk export, remember you can only export 1000 leads at once. 

  1. Once you have successfully confirmed, you will get a notification in the Cloud Icon which says “In progress”

6. Once the export is over you’ll be able to see the status of your export (Success/Fail) (Success/Fail) in the Settings > History. Here, select "Pipedrive" from the 1st drop-down, and the duration from the second [shown below].
